The Regional Manager – Africa will lead TrueLeap’s growth, partnerships, and operations across key African markets. This is a high-impact leadership position focused on market development, partnership building with governments and organizations, business expansion, and deployment of TrueLeap’s technology solutions across the continent. You will represent TrueLeap’s global mission in Africa — ensuring that local initiatives contribute to the broader vision of creating inclusive digital-learning infrastructure for the knowledge economy.Key Responsibilities
- Regional Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute TrueLeap’s pan-African strategy, prioritizing high-impact markets and initiatives in alignment with national digital-education and human capital policies. - Business Development & Expansion
Identify and develop strategic artnerships with governments, education ministries, development agencies, NGOs, and private-sector organizations to scale TrueLeap’s platform and services. - Partnerships & Alliances
Build long-term relationships with ministries, universities, education boards, funding partners (e.g., multilateral organizations), and technology providers to drive regional initiatives. - Program Oversight & Delivery
Lead the implementation of TrueLeap’s core offerings — TrueLeap SaaS/PaaS, EdgeForAll™, and last-mile learning solutions — adapting to local infrastructure and policy environments. - Revenue & Performance Management
Own business performance metrics for the region: manage budgets, report on KPIs, and ensure delivery excellence and commercial sustainability. - Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a diverse regional team focused on business development, implementation, and partner engagement. - Policy & Advocacy
Engage with policymakers, educational leaders, and donors to align TrueLeap’s work with national education transformation agendas, digital-learning frameworks, and innovation ecosystems. - Brand & Representation
Serve as TrueLeap’s spokesperson in Africa — represent the company at education summits, innovation forums, and multilateral events to promote our vision of equitable access to digital learning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within EdTech, ICT4D, education transformation, or digital infrastructure sectors in Africa.
- Proven track record of managing multi-country operations or partnerships across sub-Saharan Africa.
- Strong relationships or experience working with governments, development partners (e.g., UNICEF, UNESCO, World Bank, USAID, AfDB), and public private initiatives in education or digital inclusion.
- Deep understanding of Africa’s education-technology landscape, digital-infrastructure challenges, and opportunities for scalable learning solutions.
- Excellent leadership, cross-cultural communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong financial and operational acumen — ability to manage regional budgets and ensure sustainability of partnerships.
- Proficiency in business-development tools (CRM, analytics, collaboration platforms).
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in French or Portuguese is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Africa and occasionally to other global TrueLeap offices.
Commitment & Compensation
This is a senior-level executive contract role. Compensation will reflect leadership scope, market responsibility, and performance. The package includes competitive base compensation and performance-based incentives, aligned with TrueLeap’s global standards
